Oregon State Capitol

Known to be the most popular destination in Salem, Oregon State Capitol is a place with beautiful landscapes, monuments, statues, and fountains. Visitors can also stroll in its walking trails while enjoying the scenery. Also, do not miss the chance to enter the capitol rotunda to witness the elaborate designs of the ceiling and the wide variety of murals and art medallions. 

Enchanted Forest Theme Park

The Enchanted Forest Theme Park is an idea of Roger Tofte. The 20-acre land of different rides and attractions commenced in the year 1971. It offers attractions that all family members would enjoy. The Story Book Labe is especially amusing for children because they can witness their favorite characters like Humpty Dumpty and Alice in Wonderland personified by actors.  

Wine Tasting

There are over twenty local wineries in Salem. Most of these vineyards have tasting rooms, shops, and special events. Cubanisimo Vineyard is one of the many wineries found in Salem. You can taste their specialties including the Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris in their tasting room. Another notable winery in Salem is Orchard Heights Winery which is known for its world-class varietal wine. 

Deepwood Museum & Gardens

The astonishing Queen Anne Victorian Home was established in 1894. The property offers stunning views of the city of Salem. Tourists can take a good look at elaborately laid gardens and watch a demonstration of the recycling area or just sit around the many benches in the garden. 

The Willamette Heritage Center

Have a trip down the memory lane in the Willamette Heritage Center. Find out about Oregon's history and appreciate the gardens and buildings onside the 5-acre property. The Jason Lee House and Methodist Parsonage, as well as the Mission Mill Museum,  were revived. Tourists will be in awe of the Thomas Kay Woolen that still works up to this day.

The park also offers public boats, picnic areas, and an amphitheater. 

Minto-Brown Island Park

The Minto-Brown Island Park is a 900-acre attraction in the Willamette River. The park offers outdoor fun for the visitors. They can walk along the trails, bike, and run inside the park. Visitors can also bring their pets along and play in the designated areas.
